Position Summary
Our client, a global leader in the consumer goods space, is looking for a Senior Enterprise Architect – SAP Technical Services to play a key role in their digital transformation journey. This is a strategic, high-impact individual contributor role that blends deep SAP expertise with broad enterprise architecture thinking. As a senior architect, you will be responsible for guiding the design and deployment of SAP technical solutions, while ensuring effective integration with the broader cloud and application ecosystem (including Azure, Workday, Databricks, and custom-built platforms). The role will support platform modernization, solution assurance, and long-term ERP strategy – with an eye on flexibility beyond SAP, should the organization pivot from ECC in the coming years. This role is a combination of hands-on keyboard and strategic leadership. This is a 100% remote role with Eastern core collaboration hours.
Responsibilities
- Design and evolve technical architecture for SAP and its integration with enterprise systems and cloud platforms.
- Lead solution assurance reviews to ensure delivery aligns with architectural intent and enterprise standards.
- Serve as a trusted advisor and thought partner to finance IT and enterprise architecture teams.
- Evaluate and implement SAP technologies such as HANA, S/4, Fiori, and SAP BTP (when appropriate).
- Guide SAP application teams on performance, scalability, and security best practices.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define long-term ERP roadmap options (SAP and alternatives).
- Support enterprise initiatives including cloud integration, data architecture, and platform modernization.
- Conduct architecture reviews for new projects and participate in governance boards.
- Stay current with emerging technologies and trends across ERP, cloud, and integration layers.
Minimum Experience
- 15+ years of SAP experience with a focus on architecture, technical services, and cross-module integration.
- 8+ years working in SAP NetWeaver technologies including ECC, BW, SCM, and HANA 2.0.
- Proven leadership in successful enterprise SAP deployments, conversions, or modernizations.
- Ability to bridge the gap between technical SAP subject matter expertise and enterprise architecture.
- Strong understanding of system integration, cloud platforms (especially Azure), and data strategies.
- Experience working with third-party applications like Workday, Kronos, and custom APIs.
- Familiarity with solution assurance and audit practices in IT delivery.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills across technical and business audiences.
Additional Plus:
- SAP Certifications (NetWeaver, BTP, or S/4).
- Familiarity with tools like SAC, Datasphere, Integration Suite, and Fiori Launchpad.
- Knowledge of SAP RISE, PCE, or hybrid deployment strategies.
- TOGAF or other enterprise architecture framework certifications.
- Manufacturing industry experience or ERP exposure in similar environments.
