Senior Systems Engineer (Microsoft 365 & VMware) – Healthcare

About Us: We are a highly regulated healthcare organization operating in a HIPAA and PCI-compliant environment, supporting approximately 600 users. Our dedicated IT support team comprises professionals specializing in database administration, desktop support, architecture, and security.
Role Overview: We are seeking a Senior Systems Engineer with extensive experience in Microsoft 365 (both server-side and client-side) and VMware. This role is pivotal in ensuring the seamless operation and optimization of our IT infrastructure, focusing on collaboration, user support, and system efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Microsoft 365 Administration: Manage and support all aspects of M365, including Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, and OneDrive, ensuring optimal performance and security.
- VMware Management: Oversee the deployment, configuration, and maintenance of VMware environments, ensuring high availability and scalability.
- User Support: Provide top-tier support to end-users, addressing both server-side and client-side issues related to M365 and VMware.
- Collaboration: Work closely with a small, specialized IT team to design and implement solutions that enhance system performance and user experience.
- Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of system configurations, procedures, and best practices.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years in systems engineering roles, with a strong focus on Microsoft 365 and VMware.
- Technical Proficiency: In-depth knowledge of M365 services and VMware virtualization technologies.
- Healthcare IT Experience: Experience working in regulated environments (HIPAA, PCI) is highly desirable, but not required.
- Soft Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative approach and a commitment to supporting others.
