We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Project/Program Manager to join our team and support a client in the public sector on critical initiatives with high visibility. The successful candidate will play a key role in overseeing several highly visible technology initiatives surrounding accessibility, disaster recovery, and digital transformation. - Project/Program Oversight: Lead and manage the successful execution of technology projects and programs within the public sector client, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
- Multi-Project Coordination: Collaborate with multiple Project Managers to oversee a Program of projects, ensuring coordination, communication, and effective delivery within defined workstreams.
- Executive Reporting: Provide regular updates to executives on the health of the Program, project statuses, and any potential risks or issues. Present concise and informative reports that enable strategic decision-making.
- Change Management: Implement effective change management strategies to facilitate seamless transitions and adoption of new processes or technologies. Produce communications to inform and engage necessary stakeholders.
- Requirements Gathering: Demonstrate a strong ability to gather project requirements and blend project management and business analysis to produce high-quality requirements documentation and deliverables.
- Stakeholder Communication: Foster effective communication channels with project stakeholders, ensuring a clear understanding of project objectives, timelines, and potential impacts.
- Proven experience as a Senior Project/Program Manager overseeing technology projects.
- Experience managing a Program of projects and working collaboratively with multiple Project Managers.
- Strong executive reporting skills, with the ability to convey complex information in a clear and concise manner.
- Proficiency in change management strategies and the ability to produce effective communications for diverse stakeholders.
- Adept at gathering requirements and blending project management and business analysis.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to build strong relationships at all levels.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field; advanced degree or certifications in project management is a plus.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in project/program management within IT.
