Position Summary
Our client, who is in the government space, is seeking a Jira Admin & Trainer to champion best practices, bridge communication caps, and drive continuous improvement within their Jira ecosystem. This person will bring their expertise to configure, maintain, and optimize the Jira platform and support agile project management practices. This person will also create and deliver training sessions to increase organizational literacy and drive usage of Jira to streamline workflows, track projects, and enhance collaboration. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of Jira best practices, agile methodologies, strong communication skills, and a strategic mindset to drive continuous improvement in the Jira ecosystem.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a subject matter expert on Jira and agile methodologies, offering guidance and mentorship to team members.
- Create and conduct training sessions for team members at all levels to promote efficient utilization of Jira.
- Implement best practices for Jira usage and ensure adherence to agile methodologies.
- Manage a backlog of Jira tickets; prioritize with another Admin and meet SLAs to deliver the Jira Help tickets, aligning with Agile principles.
- Configure, customize, and administer Jira to meet the evolving needs of the organization in tandem with another Jira Admin.
- Manage user permissions, workflows, and integrations within the Jira environment.
- Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting for Jira users, addressing issues in a timely manner.
- Develop and maintain documentation, guidelines, and training materials for Jira usage.
- Continuously assess and improve Jira processes to enhance productivity and effectiveness.
- Utilize Jira features to manage the product backlog, monitor progress, and track key metrics.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and implement solutions.
- Foster a culture of transparency and data-driven decision-making within the team.
- Stay updated on the latest features and updates in the Jira ecosystem, recommending enhancements as needed.
Minimum Experience
- Background in training for tooling and experience in delivering training sessions or workshops.
- Strong facilitation skills with large groups of varying levels within an organization.
- Proven experience as a Jira Administrator with a strong understanding of its configuration and administration capabilities.
- Demonstrated ability to design and implement Jira workflows, custom fields, and automation rules.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting Jira-related issues and providing effective solutions.
- Expertise in agile tools and methodologies and their application within project management.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and strategically.
- Detail-oriented approach with a focus on delivering high-quality results.
- Systems thinking mindset with the ability to understand complex interdependencies and optimize processes accordingly.
- Ability to prioritize effectively, manage multiple tasks simultaneously, and work with multiple teams.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with data analysis and leveraging insights for product decision-making is a plus.
- Agile certification or equivalent certification is a plus.
- Onvoy experience is an additional plus.
Salary
$50.00- $65.00 / hour
Compensation for the role will depend on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies, and experience, and may fall outside of the range shown. The Doyle Group offers a competitive rewards package, which includes a 401k, healthcare coverage and other benefits.
