We invite you to explore an exciting opportunity with a long-time client, a large player in their industry for over 75 years. They recognize the critical role of data in shaping the future and are seeking a leader to guide their team and deliver as they help guide this journey.
You will have the privilege of leading a dedicated team of six, comprised of Data Engineers who architect solutions, Analysts who uncover insights, and a technical MDM Data Modeler who crafts the data framework. Additionally, your collaboration with seven consultants will enrich the team's agile methodology with diverse perspectives and expertise.
The role demands proficiency with an advanced tech stack, including Snowflake, Coalesce, Fivetran, Shipyard, Azure DevOps, and Power BI, as the organization transitions from SQL Server and MicroStrategy. This represents a unique environment for those passionate about technology and eager to influence the evolving digital footprint of a growing established company.

The role is designed for remote work, although occasional travel (6 to 12 times annually) is appreciated to foster strong team bonds and facilitate collaborative success.

Specific Responsibilities and Key Deliverables Include:
- Lead with strategic vision and passion to drive the data solutions team in identifying and defining business requirements for solutions to their data needs.
- Lead the development and maintenance of new and existing data lake ingestion and data warehouse objects in a cloud environment.
- Implement a center of excellence (CoE) to guide and govern the data platform in providing stakeholders the data and tools necessary to effectively drive business decisions and outcomes.
- Oversee the data solutions team throughout project life cycle, from requirements to production implementation, with emphasis on data ingestion, data architecture, development, testing and support of data lake/warehouse in a hands-on fashion as necessary, to ensure timely deliverables.
- Provide expertise in design, development, and implementation of the Snowflake Data Lake.
- Lead data engineering development CI/CD via Azure DevOps and Agile methodologies. Manage the sprint plan and related day-to-day activities of the team.
- Develop positive working relationships with business leaders, key stakeholders, and cross functional teams.
- Understand and monitor current and emerging business and market trends and how others employ them.
- Other duties as assigned by Senior Director of Data Strategy and Governance.
Target salary range is $150-$165K with a target 10% bonus. Bonus’s have known to be paid above 100%.
