Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Technical Business Analyst with a strong background in sales, operations, and revenue data analysis. This role involves working closely with cross-functional teams to gather, analyze, and optimize data to drive business decisions. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience writing and pulling SQL queries, implementing data best practices, and using data to improve business performance and processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with business leaders in a highly decentralized environment and Finance teams across he organization to understand and analyze business needs, focusing on revenue data and performance metrics.
- Write and execute SQL queries to extract and analyze large datasets from various data sources.
- Develop data models, reports, and dashboards to support key business decisions related to operational performance.
- Identify trends, patterns, and insights in sales, operations, and revenue data to provide actionable recommendations.
- Optimize data collection processes and ensure the integrity, accuracy, and consistency of data across systems.
- Develop and document business requirements, translating them into technical specifications for data-related projects.
- Work with IT and Engineering teams to design and implement data solutions, ensuring alignment with business goals.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define KPIs, create reports, and provide regular updates on key metrics.
- Assist in the design and implementation of data governance frameworks and best practices to ensure data quality and compliance.
- Proactively identify areas for improvement in business processes and data management practices.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- 3-5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, Data Analyst, or in a similar technical role.
- Proven experience working with sales, operations, and revenue data.
- Proficiency in SQL with the ability to write, modify, and optimize complex queries.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience working with large datasets.
- Knowledge of data management best practices, including data governance, integrity, and security.
- Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, etc.) is a plus.
- Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with CRM, ERP, or other business systems related to sales and revenue.
- Familiarity with cloud-based data platforms (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud, etc.).
- Knowledge of financial or revenue data analysis.
