At The Doyle Group, we believe in making a difference beyond business. Our commitment to giving back is a fundamental part of who we are, and volunteering and charitable giving are ingrained in our company culture. We’re proud to support initiatives that create a positive impact for the community and our team.
Giving back to the community fosters a strong sense of purpose for employees, making their working lives more productive and fulfilling. In fact, research shows that 90% of employees who work at companies with a strong sense of purpose say they’re more inspired, motivated, and loyal.
Charitable giving is also a great way to show a company’s commitment to the community in practical terms. It demonstrates that the organization cares about more than just the bottom line. They are truly invested in the well-being of people who live and work alongside their team members and leaders.
Moreover, giving back is a great way to meet like-minded individuals and organizations that have a similar sense of purpose. For these and several other reasons, The Doyle Group continues to make charitable giving one of its core values. What are some of the specific ways we’ve been able to give back over the years?
Our Background in Charitable Giving
Since the Doyle Group’s founding in 2009, we have contributed over $250,000 to charitable organizations within our community. Our company has proudly sponsored and participated in special events and fundraisers like the National Multiple Sclerosis Society’s Walk MS Denver, the Colorado Women’s Hall of Fame Gala, and the Special Olympics Colorado Young Professionals Board’s Rockies Tailgate.
In addition, we also work with several non-profit organizations in the regular course of business. We support them as they build their technology teams and develop processes and strategies to meet key organizational objectives. We love working with these clients, and are wholeheartedly committed to their long-term success!
How We Encourage Team Members To Give Back
At The Doyle Group, we don’t want charitable giving to be something we only do at the corporate level. We encourage each of our internal team members to give to or volunteer for a cause that they feel passionate about. In fact, we have a standing “internal day of service” policy. In other words, each team member can spend one day each year volunteering with an organization of their choice. This offers a rewarding opportunity for our employees to spend time making an impact on the community outside of our normal business routine.
We also offer opportunities for internal group volunteering. We’ve found this is a great avenue for building team unity, while promoting worthy causes within the community. Some of the organizations we’ve volunteered with as a group include the Food Bank of the Rockies, the Denver Dream Center, and many more.
In addition, we extend a special opportunity to give back to the community to our new hires. When someone comes on board our internal team, they have the opportunity to have The Doyle Group make a $250 contribution to a non-profit of their choice. This is just one more way to promote a spirit of giving among our team members.
How Our Team Members Feel About Our Commitment To Giving Back
Our team members are happy to work for an organization that is so interested in charitable giving. They find that giving back to the community provides them with higher job satisfaction. They are more motivated to be productive and have an enhanced sense of purpose. Here is what some of our team members and leadership have to say about The Doyle Group’s commitment to giving back:
“I’m really proud to work for an organization that gives back so much. I feel a lot of gratitude to Andrew.”
-Lisa, Executive Talent Manager
“As someone deeply passionate about community involvement, it was essential for me to find an employer that values volunteerism and charitable giving. The Doyle Group is committed to making a positive impact not only for our clients and consultants, but for the community where we live and work. This aligns with my own values, which makes working at DG incredibly fulfilling both professionally and personally.”
-Ashley, Marketing Manager
“[Giving back] is such an important aspect of the brand. It is our environment that helps us grow. So why not support the groups and community that support us so well? [We should] be appreciative of all that we have. [We should] support those that are disenfranchised.”
-Andrew, Founder and Managing Partner
In summary, giving back to the community is not only good for business — it’s good for people. And at the end of the day, people are the most important resource we have. The Doyle Group has made it a point to give back throughout the years, and we’ll continue to do so in the years to come.
