Workday Certified Implementer (Part-time)

Role Overview
In this role, you will lead the configuration, validation, and optimization of Workday payroll components related to the Regular Rate of Pay (RROP), overtime calculations, meal premium automation, discretionary vs. non-discretionary bonus impacts, and associated true-up processes.
Responsibilities:
- Configure and validate accurate RROP calculations, including proper incorporation of Commission and Shift Differential codes.
- Ensure weekly RROP calculations are applied within a biweekly payroll cycle.
- Implement correct payment logic for meal premiums, sick time, and overtime premiums.
- Configure Workday to pay premiums at the RROP or calculate true-up adjustments.
- Review bonus codes to determine discretionary status and configure RROP lookback and true-ups.
- Reconfigure OT calculations to be based on workday (midnight-midnight) and align with CA OT/DT rules.
- Build automated meal premium triggers with proper attestation-based reversals.
- Conduct thorough testing of OT calculations, meal premium triggers, and RROP accuracy.
Qualifications:
- Active Workday Payroll Certification.
- 2+ years of Workday payroll configuration experience.
- Strong understanding of RROP, OT rules, meal premium requirements, and bonus categorization.
- Experience with California payroll compliance.
- Strong analytical and communication skills.
Preferred Skills:
- Multi-jurisdiction payroll experience.
- Consulting experience.
- Familiarity with testing strategies and Workday Time Tracking/Absence.
