Position Summary
Our client in the media space is seeking a Solutions Architect who is a collaborative team player and is passionate about creating effective, high-quality, and scalable products and backend services. As a Solutions Architect you’ll be joining the Architecture team to lead the design and prototyping of new features. You will provide a knowledge throughline to stakeholders and development teams from ideas to delivery and drive technical solutions throughout the development and delivery of core technologies. The ideal candidate will be able to visualize data flows and integration points and turn that into documentation and diagrams that others can use throughout the software development lifecycle. As a part of this team you’ll have the opportunity to contribute to new ideas, learn new technologies and design new features.
Responsibilities
- Deliver results on complex projects involving multiple teams across the company
- Lead architecting and prototyping for assigned features
- Design packages, services, and frameworks in support of other development teams
- Deliver architectural diagrams and well-thought-out solutions and integrations
- Assist with vendor evaluation and comparative analysis
- Assist with knowledge and mentorship as teams implement features
- Support architecture and code review activities with other architects and development teams
- Participate in project scoping, resource planning, and timeline estimation
- Collaborate with onshore, offshore, and nearshore development teams
- Review work produced by consulting companies
- Follow agile/continuous integration engineering best practices
Minimum Experience
- 10+ years of engineering experience
- Experience with Elasticsearch or related search technology
- Experience with event-driven architecture
- Experience with microservice architecture
- Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking, and analytical skills
- Strong interpersonal skills with a proven ability to collaborate without guidance
- Excellent written/verbal communication skills and stakeholder management experience
- Ability to work on multiple initiatives
- Hands-on experience building end-to-end software infrastructure: AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD, Testing, Logging, Monitoring
- Experience writing NodeJS applications
- Experience with relational and NoSQL databases
- Familiar with Agile methodologies, such as Scrum and Kanban
- Familiarity with Git
Additional Plus:
- Streaming Media Experience, envisioning solutions and creating services and integrations that take into account the traffic, customer workloads and personalized experiences
- Experience with Confluent Kafka
- Experience with Kong API or other API Gateways
- Experience with ELK stack
$150,000.00 – $175,000.00
Final compensation for the role will depend on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience and may fall outside of the range shown. This role also offers a competitive rewards package, which includes a 401k, healthcare coverage and other benefits.
