Position Summary
Our client, who is in the advanced technology space, is looking for an SAP Manufacturing Analyst to support an active SAP S/4HANA manufacturing initiative. This role will focus heavily on Production Planning, manufacturing processes, MES, and quality-related functionality, while also supporting broader SAP needs across a growing IT Applications team.
This is a contract role with the potential to extend or convert to full-time. The position can be fully remote within the United States, or preferably within proximity to offices in Broomfield, CO or Brooklyn Park, MN for a flexible hybrid schedule.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on SAP analyst who can work closely with a system integrator, internal SAP resources, technical teams, and business stakeholders to move manufacturing functionality from sandbox evaluation toward production readiness. This person should be comfortable validating configuration, supporting demos and training, helping stakeholders understand SAP capabilities, and jumping into miscellaneous SAP support needs as they arise.
This is a strong fit for someone who enjoys a smaller-team environment, can wear multiple hats, communicates well with both technical and business audiences, and is willing to roll up their sleeves rather than stay limited to narrowly defined analyst duties.
Responsibilities
- Partner with internal SAP leaders, functional consultants, architects, project resources, and external system integrators to support SAP manufacturing functionality.
- Support Production Planning, manufacturing, MES, and quality-related workstreams within SAP S/4HANA.
- Help validate that SAP configuration aligns with stakeholder needs, operational requirements, and future production use.
- Assist with the transition of manufacturing functionality from sandbox/build evaluation into production-ready processes.
- Participate in demos, stakeholder reviews, training sessions, and working sessions with manufacturing users.
- Translate business needs into actionable SAP configuration, enhancement, testing, and support activities.
- Provide hands-on SAP support, including configuration assistance, troubleshooting, testing, user support, documentation, and issue resolution.
- Support UAT planning, test execution, deployment readiness, and post-go-live stabilization.
- Collaborate across IT Applications, PMO, infrastructure, SAP architecture, and business teams to move work forward.
- Help identify process gaps, risks, dependencies, and potential pitfalls related to SAP manufacturing implementation and go-live activities.
- Participate in agile-style ceremonies, status updates, prioritization conversations, and cross-functional planning.
- Support ServiceNow ticket resolution and day-to-day SAP production support as needed.
- Assist with SAP environment movement, change control, and deployment processes.
- Create and maintain documentation for configuration decisions, support processes, training, and knowledge transfer.
- Bring a flexible, ownership-driven mindset to a team where priorities may shift and team members are expected to help outside of their core specialty when needed.
Minimum Experience
- 3+ years of experience supporting, configuring, administering, or implementing SAP S/4HANA.
- Hands-on experience with SAP Production Planning and manufacturing processes.
- Experience with MES and/or MES integrations with SAP.
- Experience supporting SAP manufacturing go-lives, production readiness, or implementation phases.
- Understanding of SAP quality-related processes and how they connect to manufacturing workflows.
- Ability to work with system integrators and internal stakeholders to validate configuration and business fit.
- Experience supporting testing, UAT, deployment preparation, and hypercare.
- Strong troubleshooting skills across SAP configuration, user issues, process gaps, and support tickets.
- Ability to communicate clearly with technical teams, business users, and leadership stakeholders.
- Comfortable leading or supporting demos, trainings, and stakeholder-facing conversations.
- Strong documentation skills and ability to create clear support, process, and training materials.
- Self-directed working style with the ability to operate in ambiguity and seek out answers.
- Willingness to work in a small-team environment where people wear multiple hats.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship.
- Must be able to meet applicable contractual and U.S. government eligibility requirements.
Additional Plus
- SAP certifications in relevant functional areas.
- Experience with additional SAP modules such as MM, FICO, EAM, security, or procure-to-pay.

- Experience with SAP Cloud ALM.
- Experience with NTT CPGRC Transport Manager or similar SAP transport/change management tools.
- Experience with SAP security, user management, or role management.
- Experience with master data tools or governance processes.
- Prior experience in a startup, small-team, or fast-growth environment.
- Experience working in agile or hybrid delivery models.
- Strong presentation skills with the ability to keep business users engaged during demos and training.
