We are currently seeking a Manager, Digital Transformation, to support a long-standing client of ours in the public sector. Below is a high-level overview of what we’re looking for.

 

Key Responsibilities:

•          Craft and Execute Digital Strategy: Define and spearhead our organization’s digital strategy, leveraging technologies such as artificial intelligence, automation, data science, IoT, and modern business applications. Your guidance will enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of our diverse municipal government.

•          Assessment and Prioritization: Evaluate the readiness of city services for transformation, prioritizing areas that will deliver the most significant value. Identify opportunities for technological and cultural improvements.

•          Innovation Leadership: Lead the charge in identifying and implementing innovative digital opportunities and technologies, positioning our organization at the forefront of digital innovation within the public sector.

•          Customer-Centric Design: Apply design thinking principles to ensure that the voice of our community members is integrated into the design of digital solutions.

•          Collaboration with Chief Data Officer: Collaborate closely with our Chief Data Officer to design and deliver integrated technology solutions that harness the power of data to drive decision-making and service delivery.

•          Smart Cities Strategy: Partner with IT peers and other city departments to shape a forward-thinking smart cities strategy encompassing IoT, data architecture, management, governance, security, and privacy to align with evolving business needs.

•          Team Leadership: Build and lead a high-performing team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning.

Minimum Qualifications:

•          Digital Expertise: Profound knowledge of digital technologies, artificial intelligence, and related market trends.

•          Problem-Solving: Exceptional problem-solving skills with the ability to work under pressure and pay meticulous attention to detail.

•          Strategic Agility: Demonstrated ability to adapt and adjust strategies, proactively identifying implementation challenges and selecting efficient alternatives.

•          Political Acumen: Strong interpersonal and political awareness, maintaining high ethical standards while navigating the organizational structure effectively.

Required Education and Experience:

•          Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a closely related field.

•          Management Experience: Minimum of seven (7) years of progressively responsible experience in management and/or digital transformation.

•          UX Design: Demonstrated knowledge of UX design methodology, such as human-centered design.

Salary Range:
$130,000 – $160,000/year depending on experience

Final compensation for the role will depend on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience and may fall outside of the range shown. This role also offers a competitive rewards package, which includes a 401k, healthcare coverage and other benefits.
