Overview
Our client, a leader in the home industry and is seeking a passionate DevOps Engineer to join their collaborative team. This role presents an exciting opportunity for someone dedicated to their craft and eager to contribute to building best-in-class self-service applications for tenants. Currently, the environment operates on-premises at several data centers, but there are plans to transition to the cloud within the next one to two years. This hybrid position allows for onsite work on Tuesdays and Thursdays, offering flexibility for remote work as well.
The ideal candidate will have a background in software engineering and be comfortable writing scripts, preferably in Python and Bash. Proficiency in Kubernetes is essential for this role.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement project initiatives utilizing both new and existing tools to enhance systems and processes, providing value to IT and other teams.
- Collaborate extensively with internal and external stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into concise technical specifications.
- Evaluate and test potential solutions for technical and business compatibility.
- Work closely with IT staff and end users to ensure technical alignment and user satisfaction.
- Plan and test schedules for system and technology implementations, supervising the rollout of new systems.
- Review existing application and connectivity services for improvement opportunities and cost reduction.
- Manage code deployments, updates, and related processes.
- Perform additional duties as needed.
- Solid technical proficiency in PC applications, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and email.
Qualifications
- 3-5 years of experience in IT services, with a broad understanding of technology products and services.
- Experience with containerized applications, orchestration (Docker/Kubernetes), user authentication systems, monitoring applications, VMware, and Linux (Red Hat).
- Relevant technical certifications are preferred.
- Proficiency in CI/CD pipelines and tools like Jenkins.
- Strong scripting skills for automating tasks, with knowledge of languages such as Python, Bash, Java, JavaScript, Perl, Ruby, Node.js, Groovy, as well as YAML and JSON configuration files.
- Valid driver’s license required.

Salary Range
- $120,000 – $150,000 annually, depending on experience
Bonus Potential
- Eligible for a 10% annual bonus based on individual and company performance.
